Larissa's work is rooted in a love for full-spectrum humanness, particularly the parts of human experience that have been suppressed, rejected or misunderstood. She is drawn to making space for what we may have learned to hide, judge or fear, allowing it to be felt, witnessed and integrated as part of the whole. At 18, during an explosive crisis of meaning, she embarked on a journey across continents in search of a life worth living. Early experiences with tragedy and psychedelic states of consciousness sparked a lifelong inquiry into the many layers of human experience and the nature of reality. Over the years, she has developed an in-depth relationship with various Yogic traditions, as well as encounters with non-ordinary states of consciousness through Cofán and Wixárika shamanic medicine traditions. She eventually found a grounded home in the Holotropic paradigm and method, which resonates with her trust in the individual's own inner process. As a facilitator in training, she hopes to offer a space of safety, curiosity and non-judgment, where people can be met as they are. She sees her role as a companion and witness, guided by a tender and enduring wish for holistic wellbeing, deeper human connection and the freedom to meet ourselves fully. “I give my eyes, which might not understand you, but they will witness you. And that is very powerful and sacred to me.”
